Typical Whiney Teenager

Tries to act tough and more grown up than she actually is

Very loud

Wants her opinions known ALL THE TIME

Doesn’t know when to keep her mouth shut and isn’t quite good with manners either

She complains about a lot of things

A little scared of Riku??

Listens really only to Aerith and Leon

She and Cid butt heads a lot

I’d believe ADD or somewhere on the autistic spectrum

A very very good thief

Steals a lot, even if just little things to give back later

History:

She was an orphan living on the streets of Radiant Garden, stealing to survive, mostly

Radiant Garden didn't fall until she was 13, but her memories of it all blur together and are kind of hard to remember

Didn't go to school until Traverse Town, and didn't get along with anyone then when she did go--probably started a lot of fights, and/or ditched a lot

Doesn't really know much about Zack, but is sad about his death because Aerith was sad

Fighting Style:

Long range, for the most part

keeps her eye on the prize (the munny)

Relationships:

Aerith:

She really!! looks up to Aerith and will listen to Aerith and most of it is honestly just because?? It’s Aerith. You don’t not listen to Aerith. I’m sure there are people out there who won’t or who will take advantage of her kindness but

If you have any ounce of love for the woman you just listen to her and respect her because she’s so kind and in some ways gentle and she’s not bound to get mad she’s just bound to get sad or disappointed and it’s like one of the worst things to see so Yuffie avoids it. like the plague

Also they’re only like?? oh they’re a good 8 years apart so it is something of an age gap but y’know not enough for her to look up to Aerith like a parent it’s more like a big sister sorta thing

I feel like she and Aerith interacted a lot before Radiant Garden’s fall because Aerith always managed to catch her stealing and she tried her best to keep the eye on the girl but she didn’t realize Yuffie was an orphan living on the streets until Traverse Town when Yuffie finally broke down and told her

(she’d always say her parents were elsewhere and slip away from Aerith before she’d insist on meeting them)

And then y’know Aerith is that not-quite-parent figure that you can still trust and it’s cool

Plus Aerith has been a constant in her life—keeping her out of trouble when she can, trying to keep her from stealing, feeding her on occasion

Leon:

Yuffie listens to Leon too because he carries a sense of authority around him or w/e.

And I guess looking at some of their conversations with each other in games Leon gets vaguely exasperated with her a lot (but perhaps that's just Leon being Leon) and she teases him quite like a younger sister would, so there's that too—plus he kinda jokes back at her tbh

Tbh at this point they're all just family so like ~yay~

Cid:

She doesn’t really like Cid and they argue all the time but truth is she can’t imagine life without Cid and they probably only argue now out of habit and should they get into a huge argument and then something happen to either of them both would be like AND TO THINK THE LAST THING I DID WITH THEM WAS ARGUE. I AM TRASH.

She thought Cid was the most annoying person ever when she was younger though. She still thinks he’s annoying but they don’t honestly hate each other or anything

Riku:

They’re like awkward siblings and the fact that they are nearly if not exactly the same age doesn’t help matters

She’s a little scared of Riku though I think by ch174 that’s died down a little tbh. She’s usually kinda worried about him but not desperately so

And she’s only nice to him at first BECAUSE AEIRTH TOLD ME and for no other reason. She will keep saying JUST BECAUSE AERITH SAID SO later on into life but she does grow to care about him in a way

Cloud + Tifa

She’s nice to Cloud but that’s honestly because you can’t upset Cloud with pranks or jokes or being obnoxious or not listening he’s just a firm rock that you can’t argue with and since it was no fun to argue Yuffie just listened

Tifa’s kinda the same except I can see her and Yuffie getting into a lot of yelling matches that Aerith would always have to break up and it was horrible

(she teases them so much about being together but. They are not. plus they probably deflect it so easily that it loses it’s fun tbh)
