He has black hair and blue eyes—his bangs naturally fall to cover the right side of his face no matter how hard he tries to get them to do anything else. He’s also scrawny like a stick and will probably always be that way

He is the most positive person you will ever meet ever I really mean it

sometimes gets a little sad about his friends but he tries to stay super positive

Hates when people mope

Will yell at people when they mope

Very loud and enthusiastic

Cares a lot about his friends -- goes out of his way to cheer 'em up, really

He probably gets a little antsy at times but it comes more from being as young as he is than anything else. He’s just got a lot of energy

Oh gosh Joseph is so immature though at times he knows when to be mature but unless it’s a super serious situation he’s making faces and blowing raspberries and poking people he’s absolutely awful

Fighting Style:

Joseph is very long ranged and defensive

He eventually uses that boomberang/shield hybrid Cid made for him or will make for him

Joseph has absolutely no fighting skills to speak of, at least not yet, so it would be pointless listing stats and strategies. If it's a larger battle (and 29 hasn't hauled him far from said battle) expect him to be a distraction. It's his job.

29 didn’t necessarily raise Joseph but he watched out for Joseph for like nearly. Three years. Or something along those lines and he did teach Joseph about a lot of things and he kept Joseph safe from harm and he still does

29 is Joseph’s rock. Joseph is really positive on his own but sometimes he needs a rock because he can only do so much. He can only do so much

He kinda resents 29 for always telling him what to do/what not to do but not that much. He largely just loves 29

IT’S

IT’S HARD TO SYNTHESISE INTO WORDS IT REALLY IS but 29 loves Joseph like a son and Joseph loves 29 like a father and it’s so,,,, sighs. They are the only two left they gotta keep an eye out on each other

Joseph doesn’t like getting in trouble but he’s also not going to lie excessively to 29

Plus 29’s really good at seeing through. Like. all of his lies. All of them. Every single one.

Joseph is also responsible enough to tell 29 when something seriously goes wrong. He’s not going to cover it up.

Toby

Toby was someone his age who he could hang out with who isn’t obnoxiously older who isn’t busy all the time who’s nice like

A perfect friend and that’s something Joseph was really missing after Raymond and Patrick died. A friend. A friend his age who he could get into trouble with and pull pranks with and other general shenanigans that’s what Toby was and Joseph loved Toby so so so much

("but Toby's 8 and that's not really Joseph's age"?? The difference between 8 and 12 is much smaller than 12 and 15, mentally. Besides the only 15-year-olds in that Castle were Riku and Namine and let's be honest here. Joseph's friends with them, but they aren't friends he can get into trouble with because they're both always busy)

It was sad to see Toby die not only because Joseph lost a friend but because it was the first death (of someone he cared about?? idk how many he saw during the raids uh) that he saw with his own two eyes and y’know after losing everyone and getting hope back and then losing it all over again it wasn’t easy

Riku

Joseph really super looks up to Riku but he does understand that Riku is An Asshole and A Grump and they really shouldn’t get along

But for a while Riku was the only person remotely his age around and that was Really Nice

Admittedly they do sort of get along because they’ve known each other for so long and they sorta?? Understand each other. Joseph also spends a lot of time on the Cheer Riku Up Squad with Namine and Aerith

(He’s also Hug Squad Captain)

Raymond + Patrick

Raymond and Patrick were two other Experiments and Joseph's closest friends. 

They and Joseph were like a gang of the only 12-year-olds and they were really energetic and wrecking stuff and running around and no they wouldn’t bully other kids but they were like that group of popular kids?

They got along because they were the same age

Spent a lot of time pulling pranks and stuff

Just messing around and stupid jokes

Like the really lame jokes that are only funny because they’re twelve

Sora

First NICE person roughly his age and he grew so attached to Sora because Sora was Not An Asshole and would talk and joke with him and play with him and not blow him off like Riku would

ALSO LATER SORA PLAYS GAMES A LOT WITH HIM and tells him stories and it’s great

Namine

He really likes Namine she’s like an older sis to him and he really appreciates her and likes spending time with her

+ I think she teaches him how to draw

And they spend a lot of time together while Joseph plays video games Namine will sit and draw and keep him company and stuff

Kairi

Joseph thinks Kairi was initially really quiet and sad but he’s happy to see her cheer up later

AND THEN LATER KAIRI AND JOSEPH PLAY A LOT OF GAMES TOGETHER like kairi is the one who will hands down always play a video game with him

+ they do a lot of pranking together

Vexen

Idk there isn’t much but Joseph really loves Vexen. Vexen is the only one who will answer all of his dumb questions. He just?? really loves Vexen I can’t explain why he just does

Roxas

Shrugs vaguely Joseph and Roxas talked but I don’t feel like they talked all that much? They talked a little ‘n they get along well but of course Joseph gets along with literally everyone so uh

Roxas was always in and out in Nothing's Fair and largely spending time with Xion when he’s IN and so Joseph never felt like bugging him

After Roxas was Rebuilt, Joseph is kinda?? Joseph is kinda a little sore about it he’s uncomfortable with the idea Roxas was brought back from the dead he never liked considering that as an option for any of his friends and Roxas was not an exception

So having Roxas be brought back is nice, kinda, but Roxas has also changed a lot and it probably unsettles Joseph the most (minus, like, Axel)
