Appearance notes:

Brown skinned because most everyone on Destiny Islands is. The bluest eyes you can imagine. His hair’s also brown, like it should be, not that ugly dirty blonde it is in kh2??? Incredibly short (shorter than Kairi), of a wiry and lanky build. A little underweight, as of the second half of Dead Inside on.

Also as of the second half of Dead Inside on, has a scar that goes all the way across his face, from his left eye down to his right jaw bone, continuing down his neck and then to his right shoulder.

Wears t-shirts constantly, loves the sleeveless jacket and fingerless gloves aesthetic. Won’t wear anything that’s not shorts, probably can’t be talked into sandals but is willing to go around barefoot literally whenever, wherever.

Personality notes:

- A really great guy! Friendly, nice, won’t be mean to you without reason.

- A little tactless. Doesn’t entirely understand how his words are going to affect other people, though over the course of everything, he’s become a lot more conscious about that sort of thing

- Extremely compassionate, excels in empathy. Real good at putting himself in someone else’s shoes and understanding their problems

- A decent liar, but bad at improv and reacting to spur-of-the-moment things.

- Pretty reliable, except, when he totally forgets that he promised to do something for you. USUALLY FOR THE BIG THINGS HE GETS IT DONE, but if you asked him to bring a table to this event he’ll probably forget at least once, though he WILL rush to get it done (going “oh SHOOT”) as soon as you remind him

(On this vein, prefers to do things immediately after asked to do them, so he won’t forget about them)

- Would like to give EVERYONE the benefit of the doubt

- Has a strong sense of duty

- FORGETFUL AS HECK!!!! Has ADD, though I’m bad at writing him that way. Has trouble focusing on something things, but can hyperfocus on others. Bad at sitting still for long periods of times.

- Constantly Tired

- Pretty good at reading people??? Not necessarily, like, their motives, but extremely good at sensing when one of his friends is upset, or when, like, anyone is upset lol

- LOVES FAIRYTALES, has a bajillion OCs, writes his own stories and fanfic n stuff

Music taste: has an extremely varied music taste. Has grown up listening to Kairi’s music so you can’t say he doesn’t like it, because, he actually likes it a lot. I’m not sure what to call his favorite genre, but his favorite bands are 30 Seconds to Mars and Bastille, for sure.
He feels a strong emotional attachment to songs with a story in them. probably makes a million character mixes for his favorite games/books/movies, and for his own OCs.
Loves VOCALOIDS??? Rin and Len in particular, because they’re all I personally listen to (LMAO) but while he does eventually spread out his VOCALOID tastes to include anything that’s jamming, for the longest time he likes them largely because of the stories in them and the PVs. Story of Evil, Synchronicity, First Virus Resistance, etc. He knows Paradise of Light and Shadow by heart.

Favorite color: not red

Notable Abilities:

Keyblade wielder, but not much else special. He can’t do light magic or dark magic. He has a pretty good grasp on magic in general but it’s not so stellar it should be in this section.

Extremely empathetic. I mean, he is still Sora.

While all my ideas for heart magic (like, what it even is, concretely) are extremely tentative, I’d say he’s naturally adept at it, though he has noooooooooo sort of clue how to use it, let alone how it works

Fighting Style / Battle Stats:

Extremely well rounded, jack of all trades. Currently a little better at hack and slash (and prefers it a little bit, due to being more comfortable w/ it) but he’s coming along in his magic, as well, and is learning to incorporate magic attacks into his fighting repertoire.

He’s no Keyblade Master, but he’s coming along quite well. Give him a few more months, and he’ll definitely be a force to be reckoned with.

History:

- growing up on Destiny Islands, knowing Kairi since they were literal babies

- playing a lot of play pretend when he was a kid, and, even as he got older, still like??? live RP’d his stories with his friends a lot lol

- while he was friends with Tidus and Wakka, he definitely wasn’t as close to them as Kairi was to Selphie

- meeting Aqua, and getting passed the Keyblade

- Falling to Pieces in general, as in: falling to darkness, working with Maleficent, etc

- being used as a vessel by Ansem

- spending three months in the dark realm. It wasn’t too bad, and he spent most of it just kind of floating / sleeping, but, yanno

- struggling with his darkness thruout Dead Inside, learning to deal with it, overcome it

- fighting his Shadow

- living with Maleficent again??? that sure was rough on him

- his final battle of Dead Inside. Well, okay, not his final final battle, but the really important one against his Shadow. There are a lot of spoiler reasons this affects him, but, it’s a thing.
