Brown skin! Brown hair. Brown eyes. I know they’re blue in canon but fuck??? That??? Terra’s eyes are brown!!!! He’s Too Tall for his own good, and, buff because, have you seen how big and heavy his keyblade is, seriously?? He’s like a walking tree trunk.

- A big softy

- Doesn’t think things through too much??

- Bad at social skills, but, hey, the entire BBS trio is!! That’s what you get when you live in an isolated castle and interact with kind of only three other people. Haha. Yikes.

- Really kind?? He’s not, like, good at knowing the right things to say all the time but he does like to help people out! If someone’s in trouble he’s gonna go over there and, well, see if he can contribute? He just wants to help people. Let him help people, please.

- Probably never fact checks anything

- Constantly scared of the darkness within him??? Thanks Eraqus….

- I really get the sense he’s, like, careful. He knows he’s big and a little clumsy so he takes things slow so as not to accidentally break anything. But if he’s upset then he stops being careful and Terra You Literally Just Broke That Cup With Your Hand, Please.

- His voice CANONICALLY squeaks when he’s upset that’s very important

- The BBS kids are all a big family!!! Aqua’s his older sister he relies on, Ven is his younger brother he protects, Eraqus is their father, it’s good!!! ADOPTED FAMILIES YO [PUNCHES DOWN YOUR DOOR]

- Definitely the guy you go to because “hey I need this thing off a tall shelf” or “hey I need this heavy thing carried, terra please”

- Has an affinity for earth!! It’s not anywhere near Ven’s wind affinity, but earth magic comes easier to him than most.

- Probably has had darkness problems since birth, or at least since starting to use a Keyblade

Terra is clairvoyant! He gets Feelings about the future, but his feelings are limited to a “one time per person/place/thing” deal, and he only gets them for things that are gonna be Important. In the game this shows itself as images ((upon visiting the badlands Terra foresees the final battle of BBS, also when he meets Riku he sees Nort / older Riku / young Riku again)) but I think for him it come as more of Feelings. Either way, he doesn’t have much control of this ability because he gets these feelings too rarely to perfect the method of understanding them or anything.

Aka: slow, but terrifyingly strong. You’ll end up with bruises even if he’s holding back. If he is in any sort of serious fight he will just start breaking off chunks of earth from the ground below him and throwing them around ((the does not do this much when not in a serious fight because… he’s not going to recklessly destroy things if he can avoid it)) ((sometimes he forgets, though,,))

History:

- Aqua was Eraqus’s first apprentice, but Eraqus took Terra in later and raised as well as trained him

- living in Land of Departure, in general! Keyblade training, happy life with his adopted family, didn’t get to see the outside world much, [pushes worry for me across the table at you again]

Worry for me is not ftpverse canon seeing as it’s a) not mine b) Vanitas is there, buuuut that’s the general Concept when it comes to life in the Land of Departure before Xehanort ruins everything

- constantly constantly feeling like he’s letting Eraqus down because he can’t seem to banish the darkness inside of him??? Always feeling like he isn’t trying hard enough

- failing the Mark of Mastery exam because Eraqus said his darkness was still A Problem

- Xehanort ruins everything

- traveling the worlds, feeding his darkness more than learning to control it (THANKS XEHANORT),  in general not having a great time because Xehanort’s just leading him along on a string

- eventually Some Things Happen That Will Later Be Revealed, and then Xehanort takes over his body

- because of Said Things That Will Be Revealed, Xehanort’s takeover is 100% successful. Terra still summons his Lingering Will to try and delay Xehanort, but it does only that—delay him. Xehanort's control does not slip, does not falter. (This is why Xemnas still has his memories!)

Appearance notes:

Tall, lanky, long hair pulled up in a ponytail. Eyepatch. That scar across his cheek. Always has a knowing glint in his gold eyes.

Personality notes:

- An asshole

- Laid-back, casual, a little bit lazy. Appears disinterested when it comes to a lot of things, but knows more than he lets on, hears more than he lets on

- Probably the most awkward Org member to hang around. He seems like a friendly guy, but there’s an edge to that friendliness, and chilling with the Org’s #2 is like chilling with your director’s assistant. Not as awkward as hanging out with your boss, but still pretty uncomfortable. Also he doesn’t seem to have a concept of personal space.

- Always smiling like he’s just thought of a good joke

- Is well aware that he’s gotten the short end of the stick in Xehanort’s plans, but is glad to be involved at all, because being here is better than being dead

Other notes:

- Constantly eavesdrops on your shit

- Probably knows five embarrassing facts about you

- Second in command of the Org for a reason, and only some of that is already being part Xehanort (the rest is that he’s just damn good at his job)

- Considers everyone like they’re some kind of prey

- Which Xigbar is that, in Dead Inside?? Is it the real one??? Is it his clone????? IT IS A MYSTERY

Control over spatial things. Can warp the space around him to teleport short (and potentially long) distances, as well as do his favorite thing: hang upsidedown in midair, for some reason.

A sharpshooter. Could probably shoot the wings off a butterfly at fifty paces or something.

Fighting Style / Battle Stats:

Since his weapon of choice is a pair of guns, obviously he’s better at ranged attacks than anything up close. Using his spatial powers to his advantage, he can constantly stay out of your way, though. Likes the strategy of “continuously shoots bullets at someone so they can’t focus on the rest of the battle”. It’s even worse when he has his clone to help him, because then you got double the bullets, and very few moments when they’re both reloading. What’s worse than one Xigbar? Two.

History:

- was a guard at Ansem’s Castle in Radiant Garden

- ended up making a deal with Xehanort

- got himself norted

- helped Xehanort out with all of his dastardly plans

- became second in command of Org 13

- (ftp’s) Vexen made him a replica, and BOY was Xigbar fond of him??? Also he called his replica his clone, for some reason. it's a thing.

- constantly caused trouble (with his Clone’s help) in Dead Inside. Played the part of “keep Riku busy while Xemnas does other things” quite often

- is around and helping Xehanort out (per usual) in ATR. Watch out.

Brown hair with light brown/blonde highlights! Brown eyes. Taller than Aerith, shorter than Leon. Really likes her blue duster jacket?? Also short shorts/skirts. Not a mega fan of belts. ALSO I’M BORROWING FROM MAGIK’S CANON AND SHE JUST, LITERALLY, CONSTANTLY HAS WINGS. It’s a sorceress thing. They’re big and white and kind of “traditional” “angel” wings. She can hide them if she needs to, but they’ll always come out when she’s casting magic, no exceptions!

Personality notes:

- Stubborn, assertive, expects to get her way (SHE WAS RAISED SPOILED)

- Fairly cheerful when she isn’t being a spoiled pouty baby

- Teases like hell

- Talkative, opinionated, likes being heard

REALLY REALLY POWERFUL MAGIC ABILITIES. Can chain-cast spells like crazy. Like Aqua, she doesn’t have an upper limit to her MP or whatever ((or if she does have one, it’s WAAAAAAAAAY up there)). She fights primarily w/ magic and she is Deadly.

Knows a lot of spells besides like, fighting related ones? Teleportation and communication spells being the ones that come up a lot, but, other spells as well.

While she has her blaster edge and can use it for ranged attacks, she kind of, doesn’t anymore?? She may not even carry it because Why Bother.

She fights with magic, primarily, because she can’t run out of MP. 

Just kind of destroys you with high level spells (firaga, holy, meteor, black hole, who knows what else).

History:

- Growing up Not Really Liking her father

- Working with the Timber Owls

- The events of FF8! Lots of friendship bonding w/ Zack/Aerith/Leon.

- Becoming a sorceress and dealing with the stigma around that

- BEING POSSESSED LIKE TWICE

- Staying with Aerith and Squall in RG for at least a couple months while she learned how to cope after being possessed as well as learning to not hate herself for being a sorceress

- Spending years learning how to manage Really Deep Wells of power, even though she constantly kept shunting her sorceress training to do other things ((in her defense she would’ve been a really bad friend if she hadn’t been there for Aerith and Leon when their mom + Zack died???))

- she dropped by Traverse Town at least a couple times

- there was definitely a point where she went “LOL WHO NEEDS TRAINING, I KNOW ENOUGH EDEA” and just kind of traveled the worlds for a while. In this time she helped Tifa track down Cloud, and potentially helped defeat Sephiroth? She DEFINITELY helped fight him at least once or twice, that’s for sure

- after a while (like, five years) Edea finally went RINOA IF YOU DON’T’ GET SERIOUS ABOUT TRAINING THEN SO HELP ME!!!! And Rinoa swore to keep contact w/ her friends to a minimum so she could actually focus. She hasn’t been in contact w/ Aerith and Leon for about two years now

Appearance notes:

Spiky blonde hair! Mako blue eyes—a sort of bluish/greenish color. Lanky, probably at least a little underweight. Some decent muscles. Most likely wears his advent children clothes, though maybe minus the arm sleeve (seeing as he doesn’t have any geostigma to hide).

Personality notes:

- Mostly aloof. Doesn’t want strangers in his business, doesn’t want to worry his friends about shit because it’s Not Their Problem in his opinion (I mean, he’s wrong, but)

- Constantly runs away from his problems and his responsibilities

- Not exactly moody broody ((THANK GOD HE AND SQUALL BOTH AREN’T IN THOSE STAGES IN KH)) but like I said!! Aloof. Keeps to himself. Doesn’t like sharing his emotions like ever, and still carries a lot of guilt on his shoulders for a lot of things

- Pretty knowledgeable about darkness / shadows, having dealt personally w/ both

- Always alert to danger, will react in .02 seconds

- Kind of bad w/ social skills? Being the outcast in your hometown does that

- Most jokes go over his head.

- Bad at relaxing with his friends or, at all. Always tense.

Fighting Style / Battle Stats:

Typical FF Protag! Decent balance of magic and physical attacks. Most of his physical attacks are really strong?? Some of that is him, a lot of that is just the size / weight of that sword. Fancy attacks often. Omnislash. A lot of rushing at enemies and cleaving them in two. Uses his magic to make his physical attacks stronger more than he, like, uses it as just magic lol.

History:

- grew up in Nibelhiem on FF7’s world. Was an outcast among all the other kids, Tifa and only Tifa ever, uh, really talked to him. A Real Momma’s Boy

- was a really rash kid and did a lot of really really stupid things???? He grew out of that though ((though he’ll probably think of something seemingly stupid in battle and go. Welp. Sure doesn’t look like I’ve got another choice.))

- At age 16 Cloud leaves home to find his fortune out in the world(s), which is a thing a lot of boys from backwater towns in FF7’s world do? Zack, also did this

- ended up in Olympus, met Zack

- he and Zack traveled together a lot from there on, and also crashed at the Gainsborough house a lot

- ((Cloud missed out on FF8 because he wasn’t there when Rinoa showed up, so he ended up just bunking with Elmyra quite often during the months while Zack and Aerith and Leon were gone. She probably enjoyed the company.))

- when Elmyra dies, Zack stays a lot with Aerith and Leon for support. Cloud stays too, seeing as he a) kind of just goes wherever Zack goes b) also wants to help support his friends

- Zack dies, and Cloud is completely powerless to stop it, too weak to keep Xehanort from doing anything. Sephiroth is born from his guilt.

- though Cloud probably would have benefited from bunking with Aerith and Leon while they all dealt with the grief, this is where Cloud just starts constantly traveling the worlds, never stopping, always moving

- some of this is because he’s afraid of Sephiroth hurting his friends. A lot of this is he’s just running away from his problems and if he’s alone he doesn’t have to think about it.

- Cloud deals with Sephiroth largely solo. Sometimes Tifa is there, but that’s only until Cloud can lose her

- eventually Cloud defeats Sephiroth, but he doesn’t stop traveling once Sephiroth is gone

- since then he’s literally just, constantly been on the move. He never stops, he never stays with his friends for long. Tifa is always one step behind him because he’s avoiding her as much as he is avoiding everything else. He’s mellowed, sure, and maybe he’s confronted some of his fears and guilts by now, but he still can’t make himself stay in one place any more. He can’t stand not being on the move.

- OH!!! Though, I guess since ATR he’s finally stopped avoiding Tifa?? It’s established that they’re traveling together now (though still constantly moving), vs Cloud traveling alone, so I guess that’s a step up

- Cloud helped out Sora a lot in Dead Inside. Traveling with him for a bit, telling him about darkness and shadows and whatever. They aren’t as close as Tifa and Kairi ended up being, but, it is a friendship (of sorts) that exists, and a thing that Cloud did

Tifa

Appearance notes:

Wears her Advent Children outfit, currently!!! Def prefers the FF7 outfit though imo, but it’s not built quite as sturdily for travel, so that’s why,,, she doesn’t wear it constantly. Her hair is long as heck, and is probably tied up in that dolphin-tail style?? The only reason it wasn’t in KH2 was because it wasn’t in Advent Children, and it wasn’t in advent children because technical difficulties. I MEAN, MAYBE IT’S HARD TO TRAVEL ON THE ROAD W/ HAIR THAT LONG, but it’d only be slightly longer than it already is?? SO DOLPHIN-TAIL STYLE HAIR IMO. Red eyes.

Personality notes:

- Blunt, often rude. Opinionated and tactless.

- Will tell people she thinks what their feeling / thinking is stupid without, even, like, blinking. She’s ruthless. (and, it’s not, necessarily, a good thing)

- She’s got a big heart, she just, goes about helping in a really brash way a lot of the time. Sometimes it works, sometimes hurts more than it helps. Oh well.

- Likes to get to the point as quickly as possible

- Doesn’t see any sense in beating around the bush?? Let’s just get on with it. I don’t care if they’ll take it better if we preface it with sweettalk, pain is a part of life, let’s just tell them and get it over with

- She’s not incapable of being gentle, but often finds it a waste of time. Being rough and blunt is kind of just her default

Other notes:

- She and Aerith bump heads a lot, because they have different personalities and vastly different views on how to tackle things (especially re: helping people)

- Her heart is EXTREMELY full of light. It’s not pure light, but it’s well well WELL up there

- She can sense light/darkness levels in hearts. ((Most people with a heart of strong light have some sort of feel for where darkness is, regardless, though))

- Gets super focused on things and doesn’t let anyone else’s problems distract her

- REALLY REALLY STRONG, the buffest, can casually lift furniture by herself without breaking a sweat. Could probably crush a man’s head between her thighs.

- She cares a lot about her hair!!! You don’t have hair that long and, um, not take care of it yanno?

Fighting Style / Battle Stats:

Lots of punches and kicks and hand to hand combat in general. Tends to drop in magic between punches to trip an enemy up. Not opposed to fighting dirty. Lots of throwing people / things across the room.

History:

- lived in Nibelhiem in ff7’s world. Was childhood friends with Cloud.

- was trained in martial arts as she grew up

- wanted to leave around the same time Cloud did, but her dad wouldn’t let her. She finally did leave once she was older and didn’t have to listen to what he told her (the prequel timeline says she was 17 which seems weird for her being that vs 18 but Whatever)

- she ran into Aerith and became a friend of the Gainsboroughs, managed to catch Cloud a couple of times, probably a lot of times ((I mean, considering he wasn’t avoiding her at the time,))

- Elmyra dies, and Tifa is as devastated as the rest of them. She visits a lot to make sure Aerith and Leon are doing ok

- Zack dies, and Tifa begins trying to hunt Cloud down to get him to face his feelings and stop bottling up his guilt. ((She’d love to help Aerith and Leon, but, someone’s gotta help Cloud))

- She tails Cloud for years, though he avoids her. She helps with Sephiroth.

- THERE’S A POINT WHERE RINOA JOINS TIFA IN HUNTING DOWN CLOUD FOR A BIT LOL

- After Sephiroth is dead, Tifa alternates between hanging out with the HB gang and trying to track Cloud down, because he still Won’t Stop Moving.

- she helped a lot in Dead Inside! She and Kairi traveled together for a while, and it was great. She’s not the best role model Kairi could have, but, their relationship is really important, okay

- as of ATR, she and Cloud are traveling together!! Nice.

Where do I even begin????? Kind of a big guy, tallest of the HB gang (minus Riku) but just by a few inches. Blonde hair. Stubbly beard. Whatever the heck that outfit is in kh. Wears goggles on his head but they are mostly a fashion choice.

Personality notes:

- Kind of default cranky, but maybe that’s just because he doesn’t get enough sleep?

- What is an inside voice

- Weird Uncle type

- Cares a lot for his family, looks out for ppl he feels responsible for (so, his family + kids in general), though usually in a more I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU’RE DOING THIS BUT IF SOMEOEN DOESN’T KEEP AN EYE ON YOU IT’S GONNA GO BAD SO HERE I AM

- Loves his machines

For the most part, due to his old age, he plops himself down at a central point with one of his canons and just, fires it into the fray / at all heartless that are approaching. He has Dragoon skills (so, spear) but it gets harder to do them as he gets older.

History:

- I literally don’t have anything important like, thought of about Cid before RG’s fall, or much at all? But:

- probably dropped out of high school, started working on machines and gummi ships and learned what to do w/ them just through practice

- started visiting Elmyra often, I think I’ve said because of “chronic back pain” (though that's only a lil bit canon, I may change it in the future), and then he gets roped into making soup for her like once a week, so he’s a family friend of the Gainsboroughs before RG falls

- ((Idk how Shera comes into play, but probably: like in magik’s canon, she lives in Disney Town? Idk when Cid met her but maybe he traveled the worlds in a gummi ship at some point? I mean, why build a gummi ship if you don’t, uh, yanno))

- Elmyra passes away, Cid looks after Aerith and Leon, kind of ((he drops by to make sure they’re ok every now and then))

- RG falls, Cid provides an escape ship

- he manages to land a job in Traverse Town pretty quickly, so he pays for most of the essentials they all need

- he helps out in Falling to Pieces and Dead Inside and he’s, uh, been around in ATR though we haven’t seen him that much??? Sweats………

Slouches a lot bc she’s lazy and Classic Teenager. Short black hair. Because Wutai in FF7 was specifically based of Japan, she, well, looks Japanese! Likes tank-tops + shorts. Would never wear a skirt or anything remotely fancy.

Personality notes:

- Typical whiney teenager. Complains a lot.

- Tries to act tougher than she really is but she’s also?? Well, 17 isn’t a kid, but it’s still… not an adult. She’s still young.

- Not so good at trusting (especially people she doesn’t know well)

- Not very good with manners!!! Being an orphan living on the streets for the first like, twelve years of your life will do that??

- Tries her best to be supportive, even though she’s not terribly good at it!!!

- Cracks rude jokes a lot

- Doesn’t know when to be quiet

- MEANS WELL, USUALLY!!!! She’s not good with people or interacting w/ anyone who’s not Aerith or Leon or Cid but she’s trying!!!!!

- Kind of the “I don’t know how to people well nor am I good at saying things that aren’t mean but hey I really like you and want to support you because your family” older sister?? At least re: Riku.  I guess she’d be that but younger sister to Aerith/Leon ((Cid is more of the weird uncle))

History:

- at some young age, her parents died in an accident and she was put in an orphanage

- at age 6 or 7, she ran from the orphanage and started living on the streets, instead

- ((she does not remember what happened to her parents, or much about them. Some of this is just she was too young, some of this is trauma related))

- at age 12, when Radiant Garden fell, Aerith and Leon and Cid ran into her and insisted she come with them to Traverse Town

- despite swearing she was only coming w/ them for the escape ship, she ended up not leaving, like, ever? It was nice having a bed. And being fed regularly. AND IT WASN’T LIKE AERITH AND LEON WERE GOING TO KICK HER OUT, EVEN IF CID PROBABLY AT ONE POINT SAID SHE WAS MORE TROUBLE THAN SHE WAS WORTH

- being adopted into the HB fam? It was gradual thing more than it was for Riku but over time it went from “I just live in their house” to “we’re family, I guess????”

Won’t Stop Wearing That Jacket. Brown hair, blue eyes, honestly even though he and Aerith aren’t related by blood you might not have been able to tell? Has a scar across the bridge of his nose. Likes leather and belts mb too much.

Personality notes:

- Quiet and keeps to himself a lot, extremely an introvert.

- Smiles more than would in FF8 though (which is KH canon, as well) and is Better with his emotions

- The other mom friend

- Keeps a level head in almost all scenarios, though when his family’s threatened he kind of,,, forgets,,,

- Like Aerith, was raised to Be Polite Be Nice Be Helpful

- Gentle, compassionate, A Gainsborough Through And Through

- Leon is adopted siblings with Aerith! Like FF8 canon, his father (Laguna) left an unknowingly-pregnant Raine (Leon’s mother) behind while he went to take care of business w/ Adel. Raine died before Leon was even a year old, and he was adopted by Elmyra (who was a good friend of Raine’s)

- Has not gone by the name Squall for around five years now

Though he never gets Feelings quite the same way Aerith does, he has been known to get some significantly weaker ones re: his family. That might just be one of those sibling telepathy things, though?

Well balanced between physical and magic!!!! I mean, he is a FF character and an RPG protagonist. Nothing outstanding here. Learned through practice on his own time (with maybe some training, but nothing as intensive as SeeD training would have been). If Aerith’s busy, then he can play healer.

History:

- growing up with Aerith, and in RG in general! Being raised by a healer mother—learning healing, even though he didn’t get quite as deep into it as Aerith did (he was slightly less interested and it wasn’t like Elmyra was going to force him to learn more than the basics)

- Aerith skipped school, Leon always brought home her work from the day and helped her through classes!!!! I get a feel thinkin about that

- Helped with the events of FF8 as they happened in FtPverse, of course!! Aerith and Zack were also there. Outside of some insane friendship bonding w/ Aerith and Zack and Rinoa (and Quistis and Zell, technically) nothing major happened wAIT HE MET LAGUNA DURING THIS TIME AND BOY WAS THAT NOT FUN FOR HIM……

- being close friends with Zack!!! We tend to take the easy route and think it was only Aerith who was close to him (ok, and Cloud) but everyone (except Yuffie who wasn’t around yet) was really close to Zack??? BETWEEN FF8 AND ZACK JUST BEING CONSTANTLY OVER they were really really really good friends, I’ll cry

Usually wears skirts / dresses / pink (provided it’s practical, of course!) Continuously wears the pink bow Zack gave her, every day, every day, every day. Technically her hair is short now but lmao if I ever remember to address that 

Personality notes:

- She’s so nice to everyone???

- She’s notoriously stubborn though

- The mom friend

- She was raised to be Polite and does that so hard

- I missed a lot of like Canon Aerith properties, one of them being she teases so bad?? at least those close to her. Leon hates to be in a room with her and Rinoa at the same time because they are Relentless

- Constantly prefers to trust / forgive / give people the benefit of the doubt

- Gentle

- Actually a really private person??? She shares things with her family (most of the time) but she very often goes “it’s not important” to things, even sometimes w/ her family (W/ LEON!!!) because she just doesn’t feel like there’s a reason to bother them with it

Other notes:

- Adopted siblings w/ Leon! Aerith was brought to Elmyra by a dying woman and, after the woman’s death, was taken in. Unlike FF7, this happened when Aerith was a Literal Baby, and not like six years old. Nothing is known about Aerith’s blood mother.

- Being raised by a healer mom, she was taught by the best! Go-to healer, like, all the time (which is fair, she is the best healer out of the entire ftpcast)

- Adopts everyone

- Though she’s finally starting to stop holding onto her grief re: Zack, he still is a major sore spot for her (of course)

- Kind of bad at responding to horrible things?? You’d expect her to be immediately compassionate but there is a few seconds where she just kind of goes Blank because she can’t even comprehend that such terrible things exist in this world (see: her reaction to Larxene)

- SHE’S PROBABLY ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO GETS REALLY NOSTALGIC OVER THE SLIGHTEST OF THINGS

- Aerith actually has three staffs! Her beginner staff, which she's held onto for sentimental reasons (but isn't great so she rarely uses), a staff Zack hand-carved for her (which is irreplaceable, so she doesn't use), and then her actual staff! Her actual one is made of metal and is overall better at conducting magic, which is largely why it's the one she always uses.

Fighting Style / Battle Stats:

Aerith knows a loooooot of magic in general, both offensive and defensive, but she usually just focuses on support magic! Especially if she’s fighting w/ a large group, because everyone else will have the fighting covered, and someone has to make sure everyone stays alive.

She’s also probably someone who does buffs/debuffs? Since that goes along w/ the supportive magic role. Stop/poison/confusion for enemies, haste/protect/heal for her party members

Of course, if she’s on her own or in a group of two to three people total, then she knows plenty of offensive magic to hold her own and also kick enemy butt.

History:

- growing up with Leon as her brother, being raised together with him, thinking of him as a brother since the beginning, of course!

- being raised by a healer mother—learning healing, constantly helping people, having Be Polite Be Nice Be Helpful ground into her bones
